About the Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process of company-produced products.

Key Activities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Blow Mold, Roto Mold, and Production Departments ensuring that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ensures that all machinery and equipment is properly functioning before the start of the shift and reports any malfunctioning to the department’s manager and maintenance department.

  • Records production counts at the start of the shift

  • Monitors scrap and regrind levels and adjusts accordingly.

  • Moves work-in-process (WIP) inventory to designated areas.

  • Records daily attendance for all employees

  • Plans and organizes the daily workflow of the team.

  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities to members of the team, delegating tasks as needed to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all tasks.

  • Trains employees and ensures that all safety procedures and guidelines are followed including proper use of tools and machinery, personal protective equipment, and proper handling and storage of products.

  • Oversees the overall progress of the employees’ work and monitors efficiencies.

  • Trains and develops employees to improve performance and productivity.

  • Assists in hiring of new employees.

  • Provide performance management feedback to management regarding members of the team.

Preferred Skills

  • Safety and Compliance knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations, as well as compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Time management skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, plan and organize work efficiently, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and minimizing waste.

Education and Experience

  • An associate degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least three years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • At least one year of supervisor experience.
