About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components, and parts, and supervising staff.
Key Activities
Ensures that our products meet the company’s standards and specifications.
Complete, legible and accurate documentation.
Must understand and follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Food Safety and Quality Standard Requirements are being maintained daily.
Must understand and comply with the company Allergen, Food Defence and HACCP policies.
Must communicate with Supervision of any Food Safety and Equipment concerns.
Assists Maintenance Manager in maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times in order to meet daily production requirements.
Supervises the established preventative maintenance program which includes lubrication, inspections and engineering sanitation schedules to minimize production down time.
Participates in the selection, training and development of the engineering department staff.
Possession of relevant technical knowledge.
Possess high level of safety awareness.
Must possess clerical ability.
Must possess good communication skills to interact with different groups of people effectively.
Preferred Skills
Occasional lifting and/or moving of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience
2 years of relevant experience.
prefer seafood experience.
Experience acting as a lead/supervisor by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project.
