


About the Role
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the production of food service customers, including restaurants, hotels, theme parks, and burger chains.
Key Activities
Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Manage a workforce of 250 employees, including both permanent and temporary staff.
Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize yield.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, USDA guidelines, and industry standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean manufacturing and process enhancement strategies.
Manage cost controls, budgeting, and production scheduling to align with business goals.
Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
Develop and mentor supervisors and line managers to foster a strong leadership culture.
Oversee equipment maintenance, facility sanitation, and workforce safety initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with sales and customer service teams to support food service client needs.
Preferred Skills
Experience with automation, process improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain optimization.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Operations or Management or equivalent field preferred
8+ years of experience in a meat processing/manufacturing facility, with a focus on beef and poultry.
5+ years in a management/supervisory role, demonstrating career progression in leadership.
Experience managing high-volume production in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Strong understanding of food safety, USDA regulations, HACCP, and GMPs.
