


About the Role
The Director of HR is responsible for playing a critical role in shaping policies, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Key Activities
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support plant operations and business objectives.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for both permanent and temporary employees.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Lead employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
Manage compensation and benefits programs to maintain competitive pay structures.
Drive training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership pipeline.
Partner with plant leadership to promote a positive and productive workplace culture.
Handle workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
Lead efforts in HR data analysis and reporting, ensuring HR metrics align with business goals.
Preferred Skills
Experience writing and implementing HR policies in a manufacturing setting.
Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels of an organization.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a management/supervisory role.
Direct HR experience in a meat processing facility is required.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, OSHA compliance, and union/non-union workforce dynamics.
