


About the Role
The Operations Director will be responsible for strategic leadership across food processing, packaging, and workforce management while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Activities
Oversee daily plant operations across three facilities, ensuring seamless production processes.
Optimize frying, blending, battering, roasting, charbroiling, and grilling processes.
Lead initiatives for multiple packaging methods, including Nitrogen and CO? utilization.
Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, SQF, and other relevant food safety regulations.
Maintain accountability for the high quality of all products produced.
Oversee food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation protocols.
Foster a culture of workplace safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
Implement security measures to protect employees, products, and facilities.
Develop and manage the operational budget, driving cost-saving initiatives.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to maximize profitability.
Lead capital expenditure planning and continuous improvement projects.
Provide strong leadership and direction to plant managers and production teams.
Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
Work closely with HR to manage workforce planning, staffing, and employee relations.
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and innovation.
Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
10+ years of experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and high-speed packaging operations.
Experience managing multiple facilities with large teams (500+ employees).
Expertise in regulatory compliance, including USDA, FDA, and OSHA.
