About the Role
The QA Team Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company food safety and quality standards.
Key Activities
Monitor production operations and procedures to ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and General Food Safety protocols.
Document and maintain accurate records of observations, audits, and verifications.
Conduct routine verifications and inspections of production areas and equipment to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards.
Support compliance with FDA/USDA regulations, current SQF (Safe Quality Food) code, and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards.
Collaborate with production staff to address deviations from standards and recommend corrective actions.
Assisted in internal audits and prepared reports for management review.
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Skills
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food industry with knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FDA/USDA regulations, and SQF/GFSI standards.
HACCP Certification is required.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
