About the Role
The Process & Control Systems Engineer will specialize in the design, implementation, and optimization of process control systems focused on aseptic processing, concentration, and puree production.
Key Activities
Aseptic Processing & Production: Design and implement control systems for aseptic processing lines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Concentration & Puree Production: Develop and optimize control systems for concentration and puree production, focusing on efficiency and consistency.
PLC & Automation: Program, configure, and maintain PLC systems to automate production processes, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
SCADA Systems: Utilize Ignition’s SCADA software to develop, monitor, and troubleshoot control systems for real-time data visualization and continuous improvement.
System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new control systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation.
Develop New Processes: Create and optimize new processes and utility systems based on company needs and project requirements.
Capital Projects & Plant Expansions: Consult with contractors on capital projects and plant expansions. Interpret equipment and plant issues, oversee modifications, and ensure contract provisions are met.
Commissioning: Implement process equipment commissioning to ensure design, operation, and budget expectations are achieved.
Power Systems: Design, implement, and document power systems for facilities and processes.
Training & Support: Provide technical support and training for operators, mechanics, and supervisors on process control systems.
Attendance: Maintain regular attendance and work appropriate hours to complete essential tasks.
Working Conditions: Perform duties under the specified working conditions.
Preferred Skills
International Society of Automation – A Certified Automated Professional and/or Certified Control Systems Technician is highly desirable.
Experience in aseptic packaging is highly desired.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Alternatively, a minimum of 15 years of experience performing system integration, project management, PLC/HMI development programming, process engineering, control systems engineering, or related.
