About the Role
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the management of all employees on the floor during their shift including performance, attendance, coaching, and corrective action.
Key Activities
Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
Schedule orders to the proper machines
Ensure production floor feedback is accurately recorded in the Kiwi system.
Delegate employees to tasks when needed.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Discipline.
Record absenteeism and attendance.
Respond, record, and investigate accidents and administer first aid.
Supply tooling and resources to employees and machines.
Assist scheduling personnel on overtime.
Make decisions on customer orders, maintenance on machines, and employee training.
Recognize good performance and acknowledge employees.
Communicate between departments on customer orders.
Use a computer to enter customer orders in machine line-up, check inventory, employee scanning in and out of work, and corrugator schedule lineup.
Participate and facilitate communication meetings with employees pertaining to safety, toolbox discussions, daily production walks, preventative maintenance meetings, and monthly Crew Leader meetings.
Write up, and/or approve maintenance work orders.
Preferred Skills
Proven management experience with a previous background in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environments.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or equivalent work field, preferred OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of progressively more responsible operations leadership experience within a Packaging company.
