About the Role

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the management of all employees on the floor during their shift including performance, attendance, coaching, and corrective action.

Key Activities

  • Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.

  • Schedule orders to the proper machines

  • Ensure production floor feedback is accurately recorded in the Kiwi system.

  • Delegate employees to tasks when needed.

  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed.

  • Discipline.

  • Record absenteeism and attendance.

  • Respond, record, and investigate accidents and administer first aid.

  • Supply tooling and resources to employees and machines.

  • Assist scheduling personnel on overtime.

  • Make decisions on customer orders, maintenance on machines, and employee training.

  • Recognize good performance and acknowledge employees.

  • Communicate between departments on customer orders.

  • Use a computer to enter customer orders in machine line-up, check inventory, employee scanning in and out of work, and corrugator schedule lineup.

  • Participate and facilitate communication meetings with employees pertaining to safety, toolbox discussions, daily production walks, preventative maintenance meetings, and monthly Crew Leader meetings.

  • Write up, and/or approve maintenance work orders.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven management experience with a previous background in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environments.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or equivalent work field, preferred OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressively more responsible operations leadership experience within a Packaging company.
