About the Role

The EHS Manager will be responsible for tasks related to safety and environmental hazards in the workplace.

Key Activities

  • Develop company-wide safety programs/procedures, related EHS communications, and educational information.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver EHS training as required by regulations and site needs.

  • Coordinate both internal and external (e.g. regulatory agency) EHS inspections, document as needed, and ensure deficiencies are minimized and corrected.

  • Support corporate-wide sustainability initiatives, including data collection and research of various sustainability topics that impact the business.

  • Provide guidance and direction on EHS programs at the Employee / Supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.

  • Assist with accident/incident investigation and implementing corrective actions.

  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures.

  • Ensure safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

  • Maintain documentation (training records, logs, etc.) associated with permits and regulatory requirements.

  • Practice safe working techniques and reinforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as established by the company.

  • Serve as Chair or member on safety committees/councils.

Preferred Skills

  • Safety Certification(s) (e.g. ASP, OHST, STS, etc.) a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment leading environmental and safety compliance.
