About the Role
The EHS Manager will be responsible for tasks related to safety and environmental hazards in the workplace.
Key Activities
Develop company-wide safety programs/procedures, related EHS communications, and educational information.
Prepare, coordinate, and deliver EHS training as required by regulations and site needs.
Coordinate both internal and external (e.g. regulatory agency) EHS inspections, document as needed, and ensure deficiencies are minimized and corrected.
Support corporate-wide sustainability initiatives, including data collection and research of various sustainability topics that impact the business.
Provide guidance and direction on EHS programs at the Employee / Supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
Assist with accident/incident investigation and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
Ensure safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
Maintain documentation (training records, logs, etc.) associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
Practice safe working techniques and reinforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as established by the company.
Serve as Chair or member on safety committees/councils.
Preferred Skills
Safety Certification(s) (e.g. ASP, OHST, STS, etc.) a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.
3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment leading environmental and safety compliance.
