About the Role
The warehouse manager will be responsible for ensuring our inventory's timely and accurate shipment, following and enforcing standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Activities
Recording attendance weekly, recording attendance points and disciplinary actions/resolving problems and conflicts.
Managing office storage, inventory, and janitorial goods and supplies.
Knowledge of trucking traffic. Updating records on transportation vendors.
Enforcing DOT regulations and maintaining records for drivers and tractors.
Maintain records for roll numbers and assign numbers for each mill.
Supervise and train on lift truck, maintain all lift truck equipment, and supervise lift truck repairs.
Maintain training/OSHA records.
Maintain a supply of propane, spare parts, oils, and chemicals.
Maintain pallet inventory and supply of treated wood.
Order and release railcars, maintaining dock levels and restraints.
AIB inspections and maintain records.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing budgets and increasing efficiencies.
Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
Education and Experience
5- 10 years of Warehouse Management experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
