About the Role

The Senior Manager Materials will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, and drug delivery systems and components.

Key Activities

  • Lead a multi-site team of supply chain personnel responsible for planning and executing supply chain activities at their respective sites, inclusive of planning, purchasing, inventory management, and materials deployment

  • Utilize data monitoring and MRP parameter maintenance to properly forecast materials

  • Collaborate across functions to develop solutions to ensure supplier performance supports organizational needs

  • Oversee timely flow of materials through the production cycle to minimize customer orders past due and ensure OTD to customers, while right-sizing inventory levels across the board

  • Manage policies, procedures, and material control systems

  • Develop procurement strategies to drive cost efficiencies across the BU

  • Interface with Sales and Operations to address customer pull, push, and cancellation; with Finance to ensure sound AP/AR strategy

  • As required, attract, retain, and develop talented supply chain specialists at each site

  • Establish partnerships with suppliers and customers to support organizational needs

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry preferred

  • Understanding and working experience with MRP/ERP systems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, or similar

  • 6-10 years in Materials/Supply Chain Management for a manufacturing organization, with multi-level/complex BOMs and widely varied lead times

  • Experience managing teams across multiple sites
